TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran competition for school students was held earlier this week in Kristianstad, Sweden.

The city’s Imam Hadi (AS) Islamic-Cultural Society organized the Quranic event, according to Qaaf news agency.

More than 20 Muslim school students took part in the competition, which was held for boys and girls.

The panel of judges assessed the contenders’ performance based on their Tarteel skills and beautiful and accurate recitation.

Winners of the contest were awarded at the end of the Quranic event.

The Imam Hadi (AS) Islamic-Cultural Society annually organizes the Quran competition before Ramadan.

Kristianstad is a city in southern Sweden with over 40,000 inhabitants.

Sweden is a Scandinavian country the number of whose Muslims is estimated at around 500,000 (5 percent of the total population).
