Mourning Ceremony Marks Martyrdom of Hazrat Zahra (SA)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A mourning ceremony was held in Tehran Saturday on the martyrdom anniversary of the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA).
It was attended by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
A large number of people and the Islamic Establishment’s officials were present at the event, held at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniyeh (religious center).
Addressing the ceremony, senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Aali elaborated on the lofty spiritual status and virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
Also, renowned elegist Mahmoud Karimi recited elegies to commemorate the anniversary.
Shia Muslims and others in different parts of the world hold ceremonies every year in the lunar Hijri month of Jumada al-Ula to mourn the martyrdom of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
This year, the martyrdom anniversary fell on Saturday, February 9.
