Quran Memorizer Comes 1st in Math Olympiad in Algeria
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ten-year-old girl who is a memorizer of the entire Quran has managed to win the country’s national mathematical Olympiad.
Milak Shatoum has also recently come first in a Quran memorization competition in the country’s northeastern province of Annaba.
She was honored by the province’s officials for her achievements in a ceremony, el-Massa website reported.
Milak is preparing to represent Algeria in international Quran contests.
Algeria is an Arab country in North Africa. Muslims make up about ninety-nine percent of the country’s population.
