Blue Mosque in Yerevan Hosts Quran Interpretation Session
The session featured interpretation of Surah al-Asr (103) of the Quran, according to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
It was part of a mourning program organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Yerevan.
Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, Sadeqi, the Cultural Attaché, and a number of Iranians and devotees of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) attended the program, which was held under the health protocols.
Imam of the Blue Mosque Hojat-ol-Islam Mahmoud Movahedifar interpreted Surah al-Asr with a reference to the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
Also, elegist Behrouzi recited elegies in mourning of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).
Arbaeen, which fell on Thursday, October 8, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS).
