According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Gholamreza Abazari, the Iranian cultural attaché in Iraq, said that the works were part of the new publications of the center distributed among the intellectuals, scholars and Iraqi figures.

It was one of the cultural activities of the center aiming to disseminate Islamic teachings and culture, he said.

The collection included 9 titles, including the statements of the Islamic Revolution’s leader on the International Quds Day and his viewpoints on Quran and requirements of time, Martyr Motahhari, Islam and the West, Arbaeen pilgrimage, spiritual aspect of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising, etc.

Arbaeen, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS).

Each year, a huge crowd of Shias flock to the Iraqi city of Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located, to perform mourning rites.

This year, the day of Arbaeen fell on October 8.
