The organization said those willing to take part in this year’s contest can refer to quraniran.ir website and sign up for the event.
Registration will begin on May 3 and close on June 3, it said, adding that the deadline will not be extended.
This year, in addition to the city, provincial and national rounds, there will also be a semifinal round.
Contenders will compete in ten categories for men and eight categories for women.
They include recitation and memorization of the Quran, Adhan (call to prayer), and choral recitation.
Those willing to participate in the competition must be at least 18 years old.
Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.
It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
