120,000 Take Quran, Etrat Exam in Iran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 19th edition of the nationwide Quran and Etrat examination got underway in Iran on Wednesday.

 

It began this morning with a message from Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh.

The examination, which is held virtually due to the coronavirus restrictions, will continue for three days.

Some 120,000 individuals are taking the exam in three groups and 14 categories, including memorization of the Quran, Quranic concepts, memorization of Nahj-ol-Balaqa, and memorization of Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh.

In his message, Feqhizadeh hailed the participation of so many individuals in the exam.

He said it is aimed at helping promote the Quranic knowledge and skills of the participants.
