French Man Going on Hajj Pilgrimage on His Bicycle Arrives in Turkey
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A French Muslim who has embarked on a journey to Mecca, Saud Arabia, for Hajj on his bicycle arrived in Turkey.
Nabil En-Nasri, who is originally from Morocco, has crossed 11 countries on his way, Anadou Agency reported.
He started the journey on April 22 and hopes to arrive in Mecca in time for the annual pilgrimage.
On his path, En-Nasri also tries to draw people’s attention to issues like the need to prevent climate change.
Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.
In 2022, Saudi Arabia received foreign pilgrims for Hajj after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, more than 2 million pilgrims from Saudi Arabia and other countries are expected to take part in Hajj.
