TEHRAN (IQNA) – Finalists in several categories of the Quran competition organized by the Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center in Iran were announced on the second day of the contest.

The 14th edition of the competition, which has been organized online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, began on Monday.

After two days of competition, the panel of judges announced the winners of the first stage in the categories of memorization of 10 and 20 Juzes (parts) and Tarteel recitation in the men’s section.

The final stage in the men’s section is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday.

A number of Quran experts, including Mohammad Reza Pourzargari, Saeed Rahmani, Mohsen Yarahmadi, and Habib Mahkam in men’s section, and Azam Alvandi, Shima Changi and Rezvan Jalalifar in women’s section, form the panels of judges.

The Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center annually organizes the contest to promote learning the Quran and identify Quranic talents.
