The rituals performed at the event included a Taziyeh performance about the martyrdom of Ahmad ibn Musa Shah Cheragh (AS), the son of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS).
Taziyeh is a kind of passion play telling the story of the martyrdom of Shia figures, especially Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in the 680 AD Battle of Karbala.
Taziyeh performances are held across Iran during the lunar Hijri months of Muharram and Safar to commemorate the bravery of the third Imam (AS) and his companions.
