TEHRAN (IQNA) – A top Iranian qari says using the Holy Quran and implementing its teachings in the everyday life needs a set of skills and training.

Ahmad Abdolghasemi

Sometimes we open the Quran and do not know where to start just like when we have internet but need skills for finding useful content, Ahmad Abolghasemi said while attending a Quranic circle in Mahallat, Markazi Province on Friday.

Interacting with Quran needs some capabilities, he said, adding that finding these skills may seem hard at the first glance but they can be obtained with training.

The priority for building a Quranic society is recitation, noted the international qari. If the Quran is recited with pleasant voices, people will be attracted, become memorizers, realize its meaning, and then implement its teachings in life, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Abdolghasemi pointed to the potential of the Quran for drawing attraction of people from around the globe.

“I am the first Iranian qari that recited Quran in a US embassy,” he said.

“I had traveled to the UAE for interviews related to obtaining a visa for a Quranic program in the United States. The interviewer was an American and when understood the reason for my trip, asked me to recite the Holy Quran in the meeting and this shows the power of the God’s Book.”

When face with the recitation of the Quran with a pleasant sound, most people realize how far this book is from bloodshed and crime, stressed the qari.
