Several Worshippers Abducted from Mosque in Nigeria’s Kaduna

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A mosque in Kaduna State of Nigeria was invaded by unknown gunmen who abducted at least 14 worshippers during Friday prayer.

The incident occurred in a village at Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State yesterday.

A local resident said the bandits surrounded the mosque and abducted 14 people and carted away an unspecified number of cattle from Tudun Amada village in Giwa.

The bandits had been trying to invade the village for a long time, but were prevented by vigilante members, local said.

According to another resident, the gunmen divided themselves, while some were operating at the mosque, others moved from house to house, thereby abducting more than ten women.

“Some of them were however busy carting away domestic animals such as cows, sheep and goat numbering hundreds,” the resident said.
