A Different Arbaeen in Tehran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Unlike previous years, many people in Tehran preferred to stay home and recite the Ziyarat Arbaeen supplication this year instead of going out and take part in processions.
This is because of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the disease.
Those who stayed home also followed the mourning programs broadcast on TV.
Arbaeen, which fell on Thursday, October 8, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS).
